I have spent some time experimenting with the development of mobile games using Gamemaker Studio. Currently I have completed one game titled "Astro Navigator". The game is basically a simple orbital mechanics simulation where the player attempts to navigate a space ship between a series of planets with only an initial engine thrust. Each of the planets exerts an attractive force on the ship so the player must choose an engine thrust that is large enough to overcome the effects of gravity, but not so large that the ship overshoots its destination.

In order to allow me to focus on the game's programming, I used art assets and sounds effects available under creative commons licenses. Currently the game is available for free on the Windows Phone store.

I have also compiled an HTML5 build of the game that can be played in a web browser here.
